Who We Are

A Growing Christ-Centered Diocese

West Ruwenzori Diocese is one of the dioceses of the Church of Uganda. Established on 27 August 2023, the Diocese was carved out of Ruwenzori Diocese to strengthen evangelism and holistic community transformation in Bundibugyo District and surrounding areas.

Since its establishment, the Diocese has continued to grow in ministry, infrastructure and community development while remaining committed to biblical teachings and servant leadership.

Our History

Remarkable Growth Since 2023

West Ruwenzori Diocese was officially established on 27th August 2023 after being carved out of the Ruwenzori Diocese under the Province of the Church of Uganda. The Diocese was created to strengthen the Church's mission of evangelism, discipleship, and holistic community transformation within Bundibugyo District and the surrounding communities.
